Baba Nanak’s langar

Another consideration of Baba Nanak’s langar

Langar of guru nanak

We have been hearing and reading since childhood that Baba Nanak had set up a langar of Rs. 20 and served langar to the hungry saints. The tradition of langar has been going on since that time!
There may be many facets to this incident but it cannot be Nanak Patshah’s job to give manners to fill the bellies of the villagers !!

May be the saints are pretending to worship God by fasting and Nanak Patshah has explained to them that even if you are hungry you can’t find God, to meet God then work for the betterment of the society,
Let’s save the world
  Let’s sit in the Dargah.

 Maybe Nanak Patshah broke their fast by feeding them bread!  Twenty rupees should have been given to them to do some work.
But the Vihalars gave greatness to the langar of rotis for sitting idle and eating in the name of Nanak Patshah and forgot the langar of knowledge which was instilled in the minds of those saints.

Think about it, Nanak Patshah will be bringing the anchor of knowledge or bread in the world!
The number of langars we use today for food and drink.
Today the Jews do not tire of praising that they are the most literate, our King gave religion to the seeker of knowledge.
Would our kings be promoting idleness by feeding the idle people bread or disrespecting the idlers by respecting the laborers!

Today we feel that Rs. 2 kg Atta Dal Scheme has contributed to the development of the people, then this connection with Nanak Patshah is not the funeral of our own intellect?
Looking at this aspect, it seems that somewhere we are betraying Nanak Patshah,
How can greed fill the people who eat free langar!  We can only get our hands dirty by eating greed without doing anything, then the movement of our kings was to fill greed among the people and not to kill greed. In an organization where large gatherings are held for national functions, it is a different matter for brothers and sisters to have a langar together for a common kitchen.  In the time of these kings, common institutions were arranged there. There is a need for langar because they are a group of people dedicated to a goal. They are attached for a task.  Meaning the concept of that langar was to please the idlers or the useless.

⚪⚪ I only considered the incident of Nanak Patshah giving langar to the hungry, in connection with which people were served langar on the streets.
