The last thing I searched?

What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

The last thing I searched was for murals and wall paintings for wall decoration ideas.I had a mood of decoration,as the festive season is on,I am searching for various decorating ideas for Ganesh Chaturthi the festival that falls on 7th sep.Further,Painting my rooms one my Worship place and other few rooms was going in my mind.It would help to think & process to see what small innovative and creative idea I come out with.

So,I came across mural arts and various forms of paintings.  Actually murals are not meant for festivals, its for the wall designers & architects, painters and artist, but I as started reading, my interests grew and I took a deep dive to explore the art forms further going through details, whatever I found to read about it.

Little summary of each one …..

A mural is any piece of graphic artwork that is painted or applied directly to a wall, ceiling or other permanent substrate. Mural techniques include fresco, mosaic, graffiti and marouflage.

Today, murals can be defined as any piece of artwork that is created by directly working on a flat wall, ceiling or generally any flat surface. It’s a style of painting that was popularised by master artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, and muralism saw a huge spike in popularity around the early 1900s.

Walls, often seen as blank and mundane, can be transformed into breathtaking works of art that inspire, uplift, and bring communities together. Street artists, muralists, and visionary individuals are turning ordinary walls into masterpieces, redefining urban landscapes and injecting vibrancy into public spaces.

In the history of mural painting, many techniques have been used: encaustic painting, tempera painting, fresco painting, ceramics, oil paint on canvas, and, more recently, liquid silicate and fired porcelain enamel.
