Nice to meet you today …
Norway is a small country in Europe. This scene is common there.
A woman comes to the cash counter of a restaurant and says
“5 coffee, 1 suspension (donation)
And she pays for 5 cups of coffee and leaves with four cups.
After a while another man comes and says
“4 lunches, 2suspension (donation)
He pays for four lunches and leaves with 2 packets of lunch.
Then another arrives and places an order
“10 coffee ,,, 6 suspension
He pays 10 and takes 4 cups of coffee.
After a while an old man comes to the counter and asks “Some suspended (donation) lunch..then the man sitting at the counter gives a packet of hot food and a bottle of water to that old man ..
This work continues throughout the day with one group paying more and the other group carrying food and drink.
Does it mean helping the poor and needy without knowing one’s identity without revealing one’s “identity” … this is the Norwegian tradition … and this “culture” is now spreading to the rest of Europe.
And here in India … ???
While giving a banana and an orange to the patient in the hospital, all of them will take a group photo of their party, organization and publish it in the newspaper … Wow.
Can the practice of “suspention” of such food and drink be applicable in India .. ????.
