Policy

When the Singhs reformed Shah Niwaz
Shahbaz Khaki was asked by Ruh Chirag, “Sai ji, just explain what is the policy?”
Sai Ji said, “What is the method and policy of action to put into practice the idea that has arisen for a purpose?”
Soul Chirag, “What is the need for this … why is it necessary?”
Sai ji, “It is very important …. I must have heard the story of the lion and the rabbit …. Using the policy, even a small rabbit can kill a lion without thinking.”
Soul Chirag, “Explain with some evidence.”
Sai Ji said, “Listen again … In the eighteenth century, the Sikhs did not allow the feet of the big left mines to set foot in the Punjab with their ideas and policies … Singh knew very well how to save a flower from a thorn and how to remove a thorn with a thorn.  .  After the death of Khan Bahadur Zakariya Khan, first his son Yahya Khan and then Shah Niwaz became the governor of Lahore.
He also persecuted the Sikhs a lot.  When Sikh youths were arrested and brought before him, he would stand in front of them and have their stomachs choked and his intestines would be pulled out with his hands and he would laugh … He would drive out his brain with a thick iron nail in his head and sometimes the Singhs in his food saucer.  He used to decorate his limbs and eat bread.
After some time the province of Lahore became Mir Mannu and it became the province of Multan.  Mir Mannu wanted to snatch Multan from it but he did not have a brave army to fight it.  Baloch and Pathan Shah were supporting Niwaz.  Mir Mannu consulted Diwan Kaura Mall about this and sought help saying that if you enlist the help of the Khalsa I can defeat Shah Niwaz.
Going to Diwan Kaura Mall, he met S. Jassa Singh Ahluwalia and told him everything.  Of course the enemy was Mir Mannu too but before the eyes of Jassa Singh the picture of Shah Niwaz’s atrocities began to revolve … it was time to avenge the flowers and remove the thorns with the thorns … so he accepted the proposal and mobilized the Khalsa Army Jatha Multan  As given.
In October 1749, the Singhs, in support of Diwan Kaura Mall, besieged Multan.  Zahid Khan, the great general of Shah Niwaz, and his son Shujah Khan competed with other select generals but could not stand in front of the Singhs.  Eventually a fierce battle took place outside the village of Durana.  It seemed that Shah Niwaz might win, but the Singhs made such a furious attack on one side that everyone lost consciousness and Bhai Bhim Singh beheaded Shah Niwaz, who was sitting on an elephant’s saddle, and shouted for victory.  Zahid Khan died of embarrassment.
Bhim Singh threw Shah Niwaz’s head at the feet of Diwan Kaura Mall and said in excitement, “Take Mittha Mall ji … it is also a sin to touch his unclean head.”
Holding his breath, Chirag said, “The Singhs pulled out the thorns again.”
