A family from Behla village in Tarn Taran area has an unforgettable sacrifice in Sikh history
Behla village farmer Sardar Trilok had two sons,
Dilbag Singh and Surjit Singh
Due to his religious views, Dilbag Singh left his family in 1980 and went to a car service baba.
In 1981, the religious war was in full swing. Dilbag Singh, who lived with the car service babas, and six other young men left the car service babas and came to Sant Jarnail Singh ji.
Dilbag Singh stayed with other saints,
Due to Dilbag Singh, the entire Behla family became close to the saints.
15 year old Surjit Singh Behla also started visiting Darbar Sahib. At an early age when Bhai Surjit Singh Behla was arrested in Dharam Yudh Morcha and spent three months in Ferozepur Jail, he met Sant Jarnail Singh Ji. Sant Jarnail Singh Ji laughed.  He slapped her and pointed at her elder brother Dilbag Singh
Yes Bhai Shera, Dilbag Singh, we bought it, how do you do it?
Bhai Surjit Singh Ji further said, I am also present, great men, wherever you serve, and then Surjit Singh Behla also started interfering in the work of saints like his brother.
In mid-1983, Bhai Dilbag Singh Behla and his two accomplices, Bhai Surat Singh Harchowal and Bhai Resham Singh Booh, in consultation with the Congress leader of Harchowal, shot only Kirshan and severely injured him.
Bhai Tirlok Singh Ji says, these days when I went to meet Sant Jarnail Singh Ji, he came in disgust and said
Let us know behind our Dilbag Singh ••••• Let us give an account of your step by step
The well thought out judge acquitted Bhai Dilbag Singh of all the illegal charges except one, Bhai Tirlok Singh Ji took him back to the saints, the saints rebuked him with some sweet rebukes and asked him not to make any further mistake  Dilbag Singh kept Behla ji with him again,
Shortly afterwards, the Indian army attacked the Golden Temple and Bhai Dilbag Singh Behla was killed while fighting there.

              Immortal martyr Bhai Surjit singh

                              June 9, 1992

The brutal attack on the Golden Temple had shaken the Sikh youth, and then Bhai Surjit Singh Behla, a young man, had already enjoyed the warmth of the saints’ laps. He first served with Shaheed Bhai Gurdev Singh Usmanwala  Baba Gurbachan Singh became firmly attached to Manochahal Ji
Bhai Surjit Singh Behla was also arrested by the police on the basis of an informant. Inhumane torture was also inflicted by Sita Ram on the Carn staff of Mall Mandi Tarn Taran, but the police could not find any secret and could not change his determination.  He was in jail at the time of the second attack on the Golden Temple.
Coming out of jail, he resumed his militant activities.
Bhai Surjit Singh Behla used to build a secret bunker in an empty big building of his village and one of his companions was living there. The news reached the police through the bunker builder.
This large convoy led by SSP Ajit Singh Sandhu of Tarn Taran, SP Operation Khubi Ram, DSP Gurmeet Singh and other prominent policemen marched to Behle village on June 7, 1992 with Mistry.
The police had a big misconception that there would be only weapons inside and not Behla himself.
The demolition started at the behest of the mason. When the others sitting inside heard the sound of the demolition, they understood the whole story. The Guru’s Lals prayed for martyrdom and took up arms and opened the locked door of the bunker  The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police station.
Bhai Surjit Singh Behla, Sarpanch of Bhai Surjit Singh Behla, said that the police had brought me and the villagers to the front of the village when the others saw the Sarpanch of the village on the ground floor.  Assured to evacuate by cover fire and asked the sarpanch to give his last three messages to the family
These were three messages
1 Tell my father not to leave the village
2 Telling my sister-in-law to be obedient to my parents
In such and such a place we have 20,000 rupees, to tell my father to take that money and do our Akhand Paath,
Giving this message, Bhai Surjit Singh Behle let the innocent villagers out with a cover fire and started a unique contest with the guidance of Gauri of Chamkaur.
The police and army openly used bullet proof tractors, armored vehicles and Martin cannons, but the hungry two Singhs kept this huge force entangled in a frenzy for a full 36 hours and while fighting they drank the jam of martyrdom, the ruined building collapsed.  Remains the main witness to the shelling
When the police officers saw that there were only 2 Singhs fighting, then to avoid embarrassment, they shot and killed 6 injured villagers and told the press that 9 militants were killed in the encounter, due to the killing of innocent people by the police.  Massively condemned

Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal Ji on hearing the news of Bhai Surjit Singh Behla’s martyrdom said that today my right arm is broken, he wrote a poem on the martyrdom of Bhai Surjit Singh Behla with a passionate poetic mind.  They would start crying.
